Matteiplast: sustainability as the guiding star of our corporate journey

At Matteiplast, we believe that business success is not only measured by economic results, but also by the positive impact we can have on the environment and the community.

Our vision translates into concrete and innovative actions aimed at promoting sustainability and collective well-being.

Sono piccoli grandi gesti, che raccontano una visione:un’industria che innova rispettando il pianeta, ogni giorno

We believe that sustainability is not a destination, but a journey made of courageous choices, measurable actions, and long-term vision. For this reason, at Matteiplast, we have decided to transform our commitment into concrete results.

We’ve proudly achieved the EcoVadis gold medal, which places us among the most virtuous companies in environmental, social, and ethical responsibility. Along with the Synesgy environmental certification, we’ve scientifically measured our environmental footprint (Scope 2), achieving official sustainable company status.

But we did not stop there. We looked to the sky—and from there we drew energy: a 20 kW photovoltaic system has been installed on the roof of our facility, which powers, among other things, electric vehicle charging stations available to employees and visitors.

2. Social and community activities

We are deeply committed to supporting the community through meaningful social initiatives. A concrete example is the organization of team building activities at the Mensa Francescana of the Antoniano in Bologna, where our employees provided direct support to those in need. We firmly believe that every gesture, even a small one, can contribute to creating a more equitable and supportive society.

3. Corporate welfare

Corporate Wellbeing

The wellbeing of employees is ensured through welfare programs and

health insurance that also extends to employees’ families.un’assicurazione sanitaria estesa anche alle famiglie dei dipendenti.

7. Sustainable energy

We have embarked on an ambitious path toward energy self-sufficiency with the installation of photovoltaic panels that power two charging stations and supplement production energy needs. This initiative not only significantly reduces CO2 emissions, but also represents a fundamental step toward a greener and more sustainable future. Solar energy allows us to minimize our environmental impact, demonstrating that technology can serve nature.

8. Decent work - work and security

Matteiplast protects the health of its workers through ongoing training, advanced technologies,

and safer and more efficient work environments.avanzate e ambienti di lavoro più sicuri ed efficienti.

9. Innovation and future projects

We look to the future with determination. We are exploring new solutions to further reduce our environmental impact, such as introducing recycled materials into our production processes and collaborating with local partners on circular economy projects. Additionally, we actively involve our employees in sustainability challenges, encouraging them to propose innovative ideas to improve our ecological footprint.

17. Ongoing commitment

Sustainability is not just a goal; it is an integral part of our corporate identity. Every project undertaken by Matteiplast reflects our commitment to a better world, where economic progress is accompanied by environmental and social responsibility.
