Matteiplast: sustainability as the guiding star of our corporate journey

We believe that sustainability is not a destination, but a journey made of courageous choices, measurable actions, and long-term vision. For this reason, at Matteiplast, we have decided to transform our commitment into concrete results.

We have proudly obtained the EcoVadis silver medal, which places us among the most virtuous companies in the field of environmental, social, and ethical responsibility. Together with the Synesgy environmental certification, we have scientifically measured our environmental footprint (Scope 2), achieving official status as a sustainable company.

But we did not stop there. We looked to the sky—and from there we drew energy: a 20 kW photovoltaic system has been installed on the roof of our facility, which powers, among other things, electric vehicle charging stations available to employees and visitors.

2. Social and community activities

We are deeply committed to supporting the community through meaningful social initiatives. A concrete example is the organization of team building activities at the Mensa Francescana of the Antoniano in Bologna, where our employees provided direct support to those in need. We firmly believe that every gesture, even a small one, can contribute to creating a more equitable and supportive society.

For this reason, we have implemented a corporate welfare program that includes premium health insurance (Unipol Salute Oro), extended to the families of our employees as well. This project not only guarantees access to high-quality healthcare, but also promotes a serene and motivating work environment. 7. Sustainable energy

We have embarked on an ambitious path toward energy self-sufficiency with the installation of photovoltaic panels that power two charging stations and supplement production energy needs. This initiative not only significantly reduces CO2 emissions, but also represents a fundamental step toward a greener and more sustainable future. Solar energy allows us to minimize our environmental impact, demonstrating that technology can serve nature.

9. Innovation and future projects

We look to the future with determination. We are exploring new solutions to further reduce our environmental impact, such as introducing recycled materials into our production processes and collaborating with local partners on circular economy projects. Additionally, we actively involve our employees in sustainability challenges, encouraging them to propose innovative ideas to improve our ecological footprint.
